THE WKND 2022.
Two days, one night | Sambica Retreat Center
UPDATE: The WKND has been postponed.
Unfortunately due to a scheduling oversight made by Sambica Retreat Center, we were notified that we can no longer host our retreat at their site on May 14-15 and as such, will have to postpone The WKND for the time being. We will find another date in the near future and apologize for any inconvenience.
You spoke, we listened.
After a two year hiatus, we’re finally ready to bring back THE WKND.
Join us as we gather as a community for an unforgettable two day, one night weekend getaway for the entire family.
See you on THE WKND.
Community on purpose.
If you’ve been craving some physical, emotional and spiritual refreshment, this weekend is for you; all in the context of gathering with and getting to know your CG family.
We’ll be retreating together at the beautiful Sambica Retreat Center situated on Lake Sammamish and partaking in communal worship, family meals, lakeside and campfire conversations, recreation, team building activities and more.
For those not quite ready for an overnight experience, Sambica Retreat Center is conveniently located just minutes outside of the city with easy access from I-90, so you can easily join us for both days or just one, all while enjoying the comforts of sleeping at home.
And for those with physical or geographical limitations, we’ll be live streaming our main sessions so you can join us virtually.
Registration for those joining us in-person will officially open Sunday, April 24th along with the full weekend schedule and details.

Carlos’ main passion is leading The Happy NPO, where 100% of profits go to their non-profit where he and his team directly manage and assist a home reconstruction program in Puerto Rico, a children's home in Peru, as well as partnering with organizations supporting migrants in Tijuana. Additionally, their non-profit does creative relief work when there are natural disasters (in the US and the Caribbean).
Recently, Carlos and his team built a campus in Puerto Rico where they have a community kitchen and a trade school for their local community in need. They have also started moving their Happy Givers production locally, in an effort to serve all of their customers better.

Singer, Songwriter, Worship Leader; Common Hymnal
ROYCE LOVETT is a soul, R&B and hip-hop artist from Tallahassee who has been pursuing music since 2003.
He began singing in church as a child, where his mother led worship. He taught himself guitar, started writing music and got his first gig at a local pizza shop in the 11th grade.
Though independent now, he signed to Motown in 2014 and slotted into the label’s Christian artist category though he didn’t consider himself a Christian artist.
Royce is an incredibly gifted worship leader, former contestant on The Voice Season 17, and is part of the Common Hymnal family which curates songs, stories and ideas that embody both praise and protest from the spiritual underground.
Royce is married to his wife, Hannah; they have two young boys.
